The Houston Astros did not list Martin Maldonado in their lineup for Monday's game against the Boston Red Sox.
Maldonado will sit out Monday's game while Jason Castro starts at catcher and bats eighth.
Maldonado is projected to make 337 more plate appearances this season, with 12 home runs, 35 runs, 36 RBI, and a .195 batting average.
