Royals' MJ Melendez sitting Monday
Kansas City Royals catcher MJ Melendez is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Johnny Cueto and the Chicago White Sox.
Melendez is moving to the bench after starting the last two games. Salvador Perez is shifting into the starting catcher job on Monday while Hunter Dozier handles the designated hitter role. Andrew Benintendi is returning to the lineup to play left field and bat second.
