The Miami Marlins placed infielder Joey Wendle on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain, retroactive to March 12.
Wendle was removed in the bottom of the third inning of Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks with right hamstring tightness. Brian Anderson was activated from the COVID-19 injured list on Friday in a corresponding roster move.
Wendle is averaging 9.2 FanDuel points per game this season while batting .304/.368/.456 with 2 dingers, 10 RBI, 12 runs scored, and 4 steals through 87 plate appearances.
