Dominic Smith on Mets' bench versus lefty Thursday
New York Mets first baseman Dominic Smith is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Joan Adon and the Washington Nationals.
The Mets are taking the left-handed hitting Smith out of the lineup and replacing him with righty bat J.D. Davis. Pete Alonso is shifting to first base while Davis plays designated hitter and bats seventh.
numberFire’s models project Davis for 8.7 FanDuel points on Thursday, and he has a $2,500 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets have the highest implied total (4.90) in the majors on Thursday.
