Eduardo Escobar sitting Thursday for Mets' matinee
New York Mets third baseman Eduardo Escobar is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Joan Adon and the Washington Nationals.
The Mets appear to be giving Escobar a routine breather in the day game after a night game. Luis Guillorme is covering the hot corner while Mark Canha enters the lineup to play left field and bat sixth. Jeff McNeil is on second base and batting fifth.
numberFire’s models project Canha for 9.7 FanDuel points on Thursday, and he has a $2,600 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets have the highest implied total (4.90) in the majors on Thursday.
