Ji-Man Choi joining Rays bench Tuesday
Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against left-hander Reid Detmers and the Los Angeles Angels.
The Rays are holding the lefty-hitting Choi out of the lineup against the Angels' southpaw. Choi hasn't started against a left-hander all season. Yandy Diaz is covering first base and batting leadoff. Taylor Walls is replacing Choi in the lineup to play third base and bat seventh.
numberFire’s models project Diaz for 10.9 FanDuel points on Tuesday, and he has a $2,900 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays have the sixth-highest implied total (4.35) in the majors on Tuesday.
