Brewers' Lorenzo Cain riding pine Monday

The Milwaukee Brewers did not list Lorenzo Cain as a starter for Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.

What It Means:

Cain will take the afternoon off while Tyrone Taylor covers centerfield, Hunter Renfroe moves up into right field, Rowdy Tellez takes over at designated hitter, Jace Peterson covers first base, and Luis Urias rejoins the starting lineup at third base and bats fifth.

Cain has struggled at the plate in his age-36 season, but hopefully the game of rest helps him find his stride. He's batting .167 with a .540 OPS through 73 plate appearances thus far.
