Chicago White Sox right fielder Avisail Garcia went 0-for-3 in a loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, dropping his average back down to .146.
Matt Davidson hasn't been any good in Triple-A after his big spring, so the White Sox lack any particularly intriguing options to take over for Garcia at DH. Jerry Sands is probably their best alternate, and he's not really any better of a bet than Garcia going forward. One wonders if they'll be interested in bringing in Mike Morse, who was just released by the Pirates.
Garcia entered today's contest batting .156/.240/.311 on the year, and this performance certainly didn't help his line. He has two home runs and five RBI's this season.
