San Diego Padres first baseman Luke Voit is not starting in Saturday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
What It Means:
Voit will be available in a bench role after the Padres announced Jorge Alfaro would start as their designated hitter.
According to Baseball Savant on 26 batted balls this season, Voit has accounted for a 7.7% barrel rate and a .150 expected average.
