Oakland Athletics outfielder Billy McKinney is not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Glenn Otto and the Minnesota Twins.
What It Means:
Mickey McDonald, who was just called up from the minors, is replacing McKinney in right field and hitting eighth. The Athletics are presumably giving McKinney a routine breather after four consecutive starts.
