Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk handling DH role for Friday opener
Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk is starting at designated hitter and batting sixth in Friday's season opener against right-hander Jon Gray and the Texas Rangers.
Kirk is expected to primarily work out of the DH spot this season while Danny Jansen operates as the starting catcher.
