Austin Meadows hitting second Friday afternoon in Tigers debut
Detroit Tigers outfielder Austin Meadows is starting in left field and hitting second on Friday afternoon versus right-hander Lucas Giolito and the Chicago White Sox.
What It Means:
The Tigers acquired Meadows from the Tampa Bay Rays earlier this week. He is following Robbie Grossman in the order while Akil Baddoo works out of the seven-hole. Detroit's full lineup for their start of the season: Grossman RF, Meadows LF, Javier Baez SS, Jeimer Candelario 3B, Miguel Cabrera DH, Baddoo CF, Spencer Torkelson 1B, Tucker Barnhart C. Eduardo Rodriguez is toeing the rubber for the Tigers.
