Tommy Pham hitting third Thursday for Reds' opener
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tommy Pham is starting in left field and hitting third on Thursday versus left-hander Max Fried and the Atlanta Braves.
What It Means:
The Reds signed Pham to a one-year deal late last month and he should see plenty of opportunities throughout the season. Cincinnati's full Opening Day lineup: Jonathan India 2B, Aristides Aquino RF, Pham LF, Joey Votto 1B, Tyler Stephenson C, Nick Senzel CF, Mike Moustakas DH, Kyle Farmer SS, Brandon Drury 3B. Colin Moran and Tyler Naquin are available off the bench. Tyler Mahle is toeing the rubber for the Reds.
Pham has a $2,700 salary on Thursday and numberFire's models project him for 9.4 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Reds have the lowest implied total out of the 14 active teams on Thursday.
