Wil Myers starting at first as Padres take on Arizona
San Diego Padres center fielder/first baseman Wil Myers is starting at first base and batting second in Friday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Padres have shuffled their batting order around a bit in hopes of igniting the offense. In addition to Myers batting second, Derek Norris is hitting fifth and Cory Spangenberg is in the No. 6 spot.
Across 40 plate appearances so far this season, Myers has posted a .261 wOBA with two home runs. Our models project him to boost that up to a .314 wOBA by the end of the year.
