Erasmo Ramirez starting on Saturday for Rays
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Erasmo Ramirez will make his first start of the season on Saturday against the Chicago White Sox.
Ramirez has made three relief appearances this season, allowing two runs over six innings, but the Rays have held back their No. 5 starter to this point. He'll face off against John Danks.
Ramirez threw 163 1/3 innings last season (27 starts, 7 relief appearances), posting a 3.88 xFIP and 18.9 strikeout percentage. We currently project Ramirez to record a 4.31 ERA and 19.2 strikeout percentage in 142 innings this season.
