Zack Cozart out again for Reds with quad injury
Cincinnati Reds shortstop Zack Cozart (quad) is out again Thursday against the Chicago Cubs.
Cozart made an early exit from Monday's series opener against the Cubs with tightness in his lower right quad and will now miss Thursday's series finale. Eugenio Suarez is starting at shortstop, and Jordan Pacheco is playing third base versus Cubs' righty Jason Hammel.
Cozart was limited to 53 games last season and slashed .258/.310/.459 with nine home runs. His .328 wOBA would have ranked fourth among shortstops if he had enough plate appearances to qualify. We currently project Cozart to post a .306 wOBA with 13 home runs across 482 plate appearances this season.
