Braves' Dan Winkler diagnosed with fractured right elbow
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Dan Winkler was diagnosed Sunday with a fractured right elbow and is out indefinitely.
The right-hander, who was a pleasant surprise in the Braves bullpen after battling back from Tommy John surgery, will have to go back under the knife again. His chances of returning at any point during the 2016 campaign appear low.
Our models didn't expect much from Winkler this season, projecting him to finish with a 5.41 ERA and 19.8 strikeout percentage while facing 177 batters on the year.
