Mark Teixeira out Monday with neck stiffness
Mark Teixeira will sit out again Monday with a tight neck. He will undergo an MRI.
What It Means:
Teixeira has been a stud for the Yankees so far this season, and a loss for any extended period of time would be tough. His .305 ISO and 18 HRs rank 4th and 7th in baseball, and his 49 RBIs rank 9th. He still continues to strike out a ton, but has a nERD of 2.67, good for 21st. Garrett Jones will continue to fill in at 1B.
