Mark Reynolds earns Rockies' starting gig at first on Opening Day
Colorado Rockies infielder Mark Reynolds will start at first base for their Opening Day matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The thought was Ben Paulsen would have the edge against right-handers, but Reynolds is getting the nod after an excellent spring. We wouldn't expect this arrangement to stay this way for the long haul, but it's an noteworthy development.
For the season, our models expect Reynolds to post a .307 wOBA with 14 homers and 46 RBI.
