Boston's Kevin Plawecki sitting for ALCS Game 3
The Boston Red Sox did not include Kevin Plawecki in their starting lineup for Monday's American League Championship Series against the Houston Astros.
Plawecki will start Monday's game on the bench while Christian Vazquez starts at catcher and bats eighth against Astros righty Jose Urquidy.
Plawecki has struggled at the plate this postseason, batting .167 with a .619 OPS through 7 plate appearances thus far. Those numbers trail his solid regular season marks of .287 and .737 (respectively), so he could be due for regression when he makes his next start.
