Andrew Benintendi sitting for Kansas City Sunday
The Kansas City Royals did not list Andrew Benintendi in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Twins.
Benintendi will take a seat Sunday while Hanser Alberto joins the starting lineup at second base and bats eighth. Whit Merrifield will jump into right field while Hunter Dozier switches from right to left field.
Benintendi enjoyed a nice bounce back season after a down 2020, with 17 home runs, 63 runs, 73 RBI, 8 stolen bases, a .276 batting average, and a .768 OPS over 537 plate appearances.
