Chicago Cubs infielder David Bote is not in the lineup Friday in the team's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bote is being replaced at second base by Trent Giambrone against Cardinals starter Dakota Hudson.
In 327 plate appearances this season, Bote has a .199 batting average with a .606 OPS, 8 home runs, 32 runs and 35 RBI.
