Nick Castellanos sitting Wednesday for Cincinnati

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Castellanos is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against left-hander Carlos Rodon and the Chicago White Sox.

What It Means:

The Reds appear to be giving Castellanos a routine rest day in one of the final days of the regular season. Aristides Aquino is replacing Castellanos in right field and batting seventh. Eugenio Suarez is moving into the three-hole for Cincinnati, followed by Kyle Farmer in the cleanup spot.

numberFire’s models project Aquino for 9.1 FanDuel points and he has a $2,300 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Suarez is projected for 9.4 FanDuel points with a $3,100 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Reds have an implied total of 3.2 runs, which is currently third-lowest in the majors on Wednesday. Rodon is registering an xwOBA that ranks in the top 5% of the league this season, with a 35.1 strikeout percentage and a 6.6 walk percentage this season.
