Texas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's series opener against left-hander Packy Naughton and the Los Angeles Angels.
D.J. Peters is starting in left field over Calhoun and hitting seventh.
numberFire’s models project Peters for 13.2 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Tuesday’s slate, making him our second-best point-per-dollar value among active hitters. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rangers have an implied total of 4.5 runs. Through Naughton's first 22 innings in the majors, he is registering a 24.6 strikeout percentage and a 7.9 walk percentage, with a 5.02 xERA and a .338 xwOBA.
