Ke'Bryan Hayes back in Pirates' leadoff spot Monday

Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Ke'Bryan Hayes is back in the starting lineup for Monday afternoon's makeup game against left-hander Reiver Sanmartin and the Cincinnati Reds.

What It Means:

Hayes was held out of Sunday's lineup, but he went 2-for-2 with a double, a pair of RBI, and a run scored off the bench. It was his eighth multi-hit game in September. He is back in the leadoff spot on Monday and replacing Hoy Park on third base. Cole Tucker is dropping down to sixth from the top of the order.

numberFire’s models project Hayes for 12.2 FanDuel points and he has a $2,900 salary on Monday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates have an implied total of 4.3 runs. Sanmartin is making his first MLB appearance after recording a 3.94 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP, with 89 strikeouts and 23 walks across 82 1/3 innings for Triple-A Louisville this season.
