Houston Astros catcher Jason Castro is sitting Thursday in the team's game against the Los Angeles Angels.
Castro is being replaced behind the plate by Martin Maldonado against Angels starter Alex Cobb.
In 161 plate appearances this season, Castro has a .200 batting average with a .684 OPS, 5 home runs, 17 runs and 15 RBI.
