Jace Peterson on Brewers' bench Thursday afternoon

Milwaukee Brewers infielder Jace Peterson is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals.

What It Means:

Peterson was held out of the lineup for the series opener on Monday and he will also take a seat for the finale. Eduardo Escobar is shifting to first base and batting cleanup. Luis Urias is playing third base and hitting fifth. Willy Adames is returning to the lineup to play shortstop and hit second.

Adames has a $2,700 salary on Thursday and numberFire’s models project him for 14.5 FanDuel points, making him our second-best point-per-dollar value among active hitters. Escobar is projected for 11.3 FanDuel points and he has a $3,600 salary on Thursday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Brewers have an implied total of 4.0 runs. Wainwright is registering a 21.6 strikeout percentage and a 5.9 walk percentage this season, with a 3.82 xERA and a .299 xwOBA.
