Jake Bauers joining Mariners' bench Monday
Seattle Mariners first baseman/outfielder Jake Bauers is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Sean Manaea and the Oakland Athletics.
Bauers started on Sunday and went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Mitch Haniger is moving to right field in place of Bauers on Monday. Luis Torrens is returning to the Mariners' lineup to play designated hitter and bat fifth.
numberFire’s models project Haniger for 12.6 FanDuel points and he has a $3,700 salary on Monday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mariners have an implied total of 3.5 runs. Manaea is registering a 26.1 strikeout percentage and a 5.6 walk percentage this season, with a 4.17 xERA and a .311 xwOBA.
