The Houston Astros did not list Jake Meyers as a starter in their lineup for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.
Meyers will take a seat Monday while the Astros bring in rookie Jose Siri to bat leadoff and play in right field. Kyle Tucker will move to designated hitter, Yordan Alvarez will play left field, and Chas McCormick will move to centerfield.
Meyers has made 127 plate appearances in 2021, with 5 home runs, 15 runs, 24 RBI, 2 stolen bases, and a .276 batting average.
