Detroit's Dustin Garneau on bench Friday
Detroit Tigers catcher Dustin Garneau is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against right-hander Luis Patino and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Eric Haase is starting at catcher over Garneau and hitting seventh. Victor Reyes is returning to the lineup to play right field and hit ninth. Robbie Grossman is moving to left field after Haase filled in there on Thursday.
numberFire’s models project Haase for 9.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Friday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Tigers have an implied total of 3.5 runs. Patino is registering a 23.0 strikeout percentage and a 9.6 walk percentage this season, with a 4.44 xERA and a .320 xwOBA.
