Nick Gordon grabbing seat Friday for Twins
Minnesota Twins infielder/outfielder Nick Gordon is not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against left-hander Hyun Jin Ryu and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Gordon is moving to the bench after starting the last three games. Jorge Polanco is on shortstop and hitting second while Luis Arraez plays second base and bats sixth. Josh Donaldson is on the hot corner and hitting third. Brent Rooker is entering the lineup to bat seventh as the Twins' designated hitter in his return from paternity leave.
numberFire’s models project Polanco for 11.6 FanDuel points and he has a $3,900 salary on Friday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins have an implied total of 3.7 runs. Ryu is registering a 20.3 strikeout percentage and a 5.3 walk percentage (top 9% of the league) this season, with a 4.32 xERA and a .316 xwOBA.
