Adolis Garcia grabbing seat for Rangers Thursday night
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against right-hander Luis Garcia and the Houston Astros.
Garcia went hitless with a pair of whiffs on Wednesday to end a five-game hitting streak. D.J. Peters is moving to right field in place of Garcia and hitting cleanup Thursday night. Willie Calhoun is in left and hitting fifth. Brock Holt is at designated hitter while Yonny Hernandez mans the hot corner. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is returning to the lineup to play shortstop and bat second.
numberFire’s models project Peters for 9.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Thursday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rangers have an implied total of 3.8 runs. The Astros' Garcia is registering a 27.9 strikeout percentage and a 7.4 walk percentage this season, with a 3.86 xERA and a .300 xwOBA.
