Seattle Mariners first baseman/outfielder Jake Bauers is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Tanner Houck and the Boston Red Sox.
Luis Torrens is returning to the lineup to bat seventh and replace Bauers as Seattle's designated hitter.
