Boston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez (back) is not starting in Saturday's lineup against the Chicago White Sox.
Martinez will miss his second straight game after Boston's slugger was scratched with back spasms. Travis Shaw will handle designated hitting duties and bat eighth against Chicago right-hander Dylan Cease.
