Oakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie is not starting in Saturday's game against the Texas Rangers.
Lowrie will sit on Saturday afternoon after Khris Davis was announced as Oakland's starting designated hitter.
According to Baseball Savant on 336 batted balls this season, Lowrie has produced a 9.8% barrel rate and a .261 expected average.
