New York Mets infielder Jeff McNeil is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against left-hander Jesus Luzardo and the Miami Marlins.
Dominic Smith is replacing McNeil in left field and hitting seventh. The Mets appear to be giving McNeil a standard breather.
