Chicago White Sox infielder Danny Mendick is not in the lineup Tuesday in the team's game against the Oakland Athletics.
Mendick is being replaced at second base by Cesar Hernandez against Athletics starter James Kaprielian.
In 182 plate appearances this season, Mendick has a .225 batting average with a .603 OPS, 2 home runs, 14 runs and 20 RBI.
