Wander Franco (headache) sidelined Friday for Rays
Tampa Bay Rays infielder Wander Franco (headache) is not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Randy Dobnak and the Minnesota Twins.
Franco left Thursday's game with a headache and the Rays said he would be evaluated for concussion symptoms. Taylor Walls is covering shortstop Friday while Joey Wendle returns to the lineup to play third base and bat second.
numberFire’s models project Wendle for 12.1 FanDuel points and he has a $2,900 salary on Friday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays have an implied total of 4.9 runs. Dobnak is registering a 12.5 strikeout percentage (bottom 1% of the league) and a 6.0 walk percentage this season, with a 7.57 xERA and a .403 xwOBA.
