Cleveland Indians catcher Austin Hedges is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Jakob Junis and the Kansas City Royals.
Hedges is catching Zach Plesac and hitting eighth. The Indians placed Wilson Ramos on the injured list with a torn ACL and sprained MCL that he suffered on Sunday. Gianpaul Gonzalez was called up to be Hedges' backup.
numberFire’s models project Hedges for 7.3 FanDuel points and he has a $2,300 salary on Tuesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Indians have an implied total of 4.4 runs. Junis is registering a 23.5 strikeout percentage and a 7.4 walk percentage this season, with a 6.47 xERA and a .378 xwOBA.
