Jeff McNeil joining Mets' bench Thursday
New York Mets infielder Jeff McNeil is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against left-hander Alex Wood and the San Francisco Giants.
The Mets appear to be giving McNeil a routine day off against a left-hander. Javier Baez is shifting to second base in place of McNeil and batting third. Francisco Lindor is returning to the lineup to play shortstop and bat second.
numberFire’s models project Lindor for 10.3 FanDuel points and he has a $3,300 salary on Thursday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets have an implied total of 4.2 runs. Wood is registering a 25.4 strikeout percentage and a 7.2 walk percentage this season, with a 3.92 xERA and a .303 xwOBA.
