Miguel Cabrera moving to bench Wednesday in Tigers' matinee
Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's game against left-hander Jon Lester and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Cabrera is taking a seat for the matinee after he went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk on Tuesday night. Jonathan Schoop is covering first base on Wednesday afternoon while Willi Castro enters the lineup to play second and hit sixth.
numberFire’s models project Schoop for 10.9 FanDuel points and he has a $3,200 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Tigers have an implied total of 4.5 runs. Lester is registering a 13.5 strikeout percentage (bottom 2% of the league) and an 8.7 walk percentage this season, with a 5.22 xERA and a .345 xwOBA.
