Rangers place Brock Holt on COVID-19 list
The Texas Rangers placed infielder Brock Holt on the COVID-19 injured list Monday.
The Rangers also placed pitchers Mike Foltynewicz and Drew Anderson on the list, and promoted infielder Curtis Terry from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding roster move. Holt, who is vaccinated, is reportedly displaying mild symptoms. Yonny Hernandez is replacing Holt on third base and in the leadoff spot for Monday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Nathan Eovaldi and the Boston Red Sox. Nick Solak is starting on second base again and batting eighth.
numberFire’s models project Hernandez for 7.6 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Monday’s slate. Eovaldi is registering a 24.1 strikeout percentage and a 4.5 walk percentage (top 5% of the league) this season, with a 3.49 xERA and a .287 xwOBA.
