Toronto Blue Jays infielder Breyvic Valera is not starting in Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers.
Valera will sit on Friday night after Santiago Espinal was announced as Toronto's starting third baseman.
According to Baseball Savant on 38 batted balls this season, Valera has produced a .269 expected average and a 15.8% hard hit rate.
