Adam Eaton designated for assignment by Angels

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Adam Eaton has been designated for assignment.

What It Means:

Nearly a month after the veteran outfielder was sent packing by the Chicago White Sox, he has since been DFA once again. We'll see if any team claims Eaton, but it's more likely that he elects free agency after clearing outright waivers. There aren't many fits on contending teams for his skillset.

In 288 plate appearances this season, Eaton has a .201 batting average with a .608 OPS, 6 home runs, 38 runs and 30 RBI.
