Max Kepler moving to Minnesota's bench Friday
Minnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler is not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against left-hander Shane McClanahan and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Kepler appears to be taking a routine breather against a left-handed pitcher. Trevor Larnach is rotating to right field in place of Kepler and Brent Rooker is shifting to left. Mitch Garver is returning to the lineup to bat cleanup as the Twins' designated hitter.
numberFire’s models project Garver for 10.9 FanDuel points and he has a $2,800 salary on Thursday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins have an implied total of 4.3 runs. McClanahan is registering a 28.1 strikeout percentage and an 8.0 walk percentage this season.
