Taylor Widener placed on injured list; Matt Peacock starting for Diamondbacks Thursday
Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taylor Widener has been placed on the injured list.
Widener was supposed to draw the start on Thursday night, but he's headed to the shelf instead. Matt Peacock will draw the nod in his place. Kole Calhoun was also placed on the injured list, and Jake Hager will take his roster spot.
In 77 innings this season, Peacock has a 4.91 ERA with a 1.53 WHIP, 45 strikeouts and 23 walks.
