Josh Donaldson at designated hitter for Twins Tuesday
Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against left-hander Dallas Keuchel and the Chicago White Sox.
Donaldson hasn't played since last Thursday and he's only been in the lineup twice in the past 11 games, presumably all due to a lingering hamstring issue. He is playing designated hitter on Tuesday and batting third. Brent Rooker is shifting to left field in place of an idle Trevor Larnach.
numberFire’s models project Donaldson for 12.2 FanDuel points and he has a $3,400 salary on Tuesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins have an implied total of 4.8 runs. Keuchel's strikeout percentage (14.9) ranks in the bottom four percent of the league this season, while his xSLG (.481), xERA (5.79), and xwOBA (.362) all rank in the bottom ninth percentile.
