Andrelton Simmons back in Minnesota's lineup Thursday
Minnesota Twins infielder Andrelton Simmons is back in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against left-hander Framber Valdez and the Houston Astros.
Simmons is starting at shortstop and hitting ninth after being held out of Wednesday's lineup. Jorge Polanco is shifting to second base in place of Nick Gordon. The Twins optioned Gordon to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday.
