Charlie Blackmon resting for Rockies Thursday afternoon
Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Jake Arrieta and the Chicago Cubs.
Blackmon is receiving a breather after going 1-for-16 in the last four games. Sam Hilliard is moving over to right field in place of Blackmon and hitting sixth. Yonathan Daza is making a start in center field and hitting eighth.
numberFire’s models project Hilliard for 12.8 FanDuel points and he has a $3,100 salary on Thursday. Daza ($2,900) is projected for 8.7 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rockies have the highest implied total in the majors on Thursday. Arrieta's xERA (6.34) and xwOBA (.376) both rank in the bottom three percent of the league this season.
