Brandon Nimmo on Mets' bench in Miami
New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Braxton Garrett and the Miami Marlins.
Nimmo is grabbing a seat as the Mets wrap up a four-game set in Miami. Jonathan Villar is moving up into the leadoff spot and Albert Almora is entering the lineup to bat eighth and replace Nimmo in center field.
numberFire’s models project Villar for 14.3 FanDuel points and he has a $2,800 salary on Thursday, currently making him our third-best point-per-dollar value among active hitters. Almora ($2,000) is projected for 5.1 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets have an implied total of 4.4 runs. Garrett is registering a 20.2 strikeout percentage with a 9.1 walk percentage this season.
